Polygon Labs added TRON to Open Money Stack, allowing businesses to offer stablecoin payments and cross-border transfers through a single integration. More than $94 billion of Tether’s dollar-backed USDT circulates on TRON, providing the liquidity pool connected through the integration.

Remittance firms, fintech companies and payment providers can convert bank transfers, debit-card payments or cash into USDT on TRON, then cash out to bank accounts. Polygon said businesses can also move USDT between TRON and supported EVM networks without separately connecting to a wallet provider, bridge and fiat-ramp operator.

CoinDesk reported that integrating USDT on TRON does not remove payment providers’ licensing and regulatory obligations.

Polygon said the next competitive frontier includes liquidity depth, settlement speed and full-stack integration, not just cost.

Polygon’s official blog said more than $14 billion in stablecoin payment volume has settled on the Polygon network across 41 entities.
